Auto body and collision repair is a $50 billion industry in the US. Demand is structurally consistent — there is no slow season for collision damage — and the business is largely recession-resistant. But auto body shops are also one of the most technically demanding businesses to start: the facility requirements are complex, environmental compliance is non-negotiable, and the insurance relationships that drive volume take 6–12 months to establish.

Weeks 14–24: Staffing
Body technicians (body men). The most skilled and most difficult to hire position in auto body. Recruit through trade schools, I-CAR training networks, and industry job boards.
