What this means for a Gantt chart
Smartsheet is a full work-management platform: sheets, forms, automations, dashboards and a Gantt view on top. If your team already runs on it, that plan buys much more than a timeline.
If what you need is one person building and sharing a project timeline, the comparison is different. Shared links are read-only, so viewers do not need a seat. See Pricing for the current offer.
gantt-chart.io does not claim a G2 league table. Until people write independent reviews, we will not invent stars.

The editor runs in the browser. Describe the project in plain language, get a schedule, then adjust the dates yourself. A viewer who opens a share link does not need an account, and the chart they see is the one you sent.
Next step: Paste a task list. Get a live Gantt. Share a link when you’re ready — no account required to try.
gantt-chart.io has a Free plan (1 project, 1 AI credit a month) and Solo at $12/month.
