A board is the right tool for the team. A timeline is the right tool for everyone who asks when something ships. gantt-chart.io turns your sprints, epics and release dates into a Gantt chart that product, support and leadership can read without learning your board.
Sprints as bars
Give each sprint one bar and put the stories or epics inside it. A run of sprints reads as a release plan, and a change to one sprint's length moves the ones after it.
Keep code freeze, QA and the retro as their own rows so a squeezed test window is visible while you are still planning.
Epic dependencies
Link an epic to the epics it depends on, such as an API that a client feature waits for. The chart shows which chain of work sets the release date, so you know which slip matters and which has slack.
Work that different engineers build in parallel stays unlinked; link the freeze to all of it.
Release milestones
Mark releases, freezes and demos as milestones. Share a read-only link with release managers and support instead of a screenshot of the board; the link stays current as you edit.
Already have tickets in a spreadsheet? Paste a task list or import a CSV with titles and durations to get a first chart in one step.

Frequently asked questions
- Does a Gantt chart replace my sprint board?
- No. The board stays the team's working view. The Gantt chart shows sprint dates and epic dependencies to people outside the team.
- Can I import tasks from my tracker?
- Paste a task list (one per line, with durations like "3d") or import a CSV with title and duration columns. Jira CSV import works; a live Jira connector is not available yet.
- How do I show a release date that depends on several epics?
- Link the release milestone to each epic it waits for. The critical path highlights the epic chain that is setting the date.
