Monday.com
Monday.com is a work OS that added timeline views. gantt-chart.io is built exclusively for Gantt charts — no boards, no automations overhead, just timelines.
Compare →Asana
Asana's Timeline view is one feature inside a full project management suite. gantt-chart.io makes Gantt the entire product, with AI generation and critical-path native.
Compare →Smartsheet
Smartsheet layers Gantt views on top of a spreadsheet grid. gantt-chart.io skips the grid — describe your project, get a Gantt chart.
Compare →Smartsheet TCO
The $9/user tile is Pro. Business, Jira, and Salesforce connectors are the real bill. No per-seat pricing, no $15K connector fees, no quote-only resource management.

General project management platforms serve many workflows — boards, lists, calendars, goals, automations. That breadth is valuable for some teams. For teams whose primary artifact is a project timeline, it adds overhead: more menus, more configuration, more seats, and higher per-user costs before you have shipped a single Gantt chart.
gantt-chart.io is purpose-built for Gantt charts. The AI understands Gantt — ask it for a 12-week product launch plan and it returns tasks, durations, dependencies, and milestones in a Gantt chart, not a list of bullet points. Critical path is native. Dependency arrows are native. Share links work without requiring the recipient to create an account.
Pricing is flat — no per-seat fees. Solo is $12/month, billed monthly.
