About this conference planning timeline
Conferences run several pipelines at once: speakers, sponsors, attendees and logistics. Each has its own deadlines that feed the agenda and the budget. This plan sequences them so the agenda is published in time to sell tickets.
It suits a one- to three-day industry or community conference.
Who it's for: Conference organizers, association staff and community leads.
How to use it
- Open the plan. Click Open in the editor.
- Run pipelines in parallel. Unlink speakers, sponsors and marketing so each starts after the venue is booked. In the task panel, remove the predecessor, then set the new start date. Then check that the task that came next still lists the earlier work as a predecessor, so delays keep cascading.
- Anchor the conference dates. Adjust durations until the conference days land on your dates, and check that the agenda publishes early enough.
- Share with your committee. Share a read-only link with organizers and volunteers.
Planning tips
- Announce speakers early; the program is what sells tickets.
- Sponsor benefits need lead time for printing and booths.
- Plan the recordings release as part of follow-up.
