About this commercial office fit-out
Office fit-outs add a step residential projects don't have: landlord approval of the design, often before permits can be filed. This schedule includes it, along with ceilings, IT cabling and furniture, which often has long lead times.
Pair it with the office move template if your team is relocating into the space.
Who it's for: Facilities managers, fit-out contractors, project managers and tenants.
How to use it
- Open the plan. Click Open in the editor.
- Start long-lead orders early. Unlink the furniture order so it starts during design. In the task panel, remove the predecessor, then set the new start date. Then check that the task that came next still lists the earlier work as a predecessor, so delays keep cascading.
- Add landlord rules. Add rows for after-hours work windows or freight elevator bookings if the building requires them.
- Share with stakeholders. Send a read-only link to the landlord, contractor and internal team.
Planning tips
- Ask the landlord about their approval process at the start.
- Coordinate IT cabling before ceilings close.
- Confirm furniture lead times when ordering.
