About this erp implementation plan
ERP projects often run late not because of configuration but because data isn't clean or users aren't trained. This plan gives data migration its own trial runs and puts training right before go-live.
It fits a single-wave rollout for a small or mid-size company working with an implementation partner.
Who it's for: IT leads, finance leaders and implementation consultants.
How to use it
- Open the plan. Click Open in the editor.
- Run data cleansing in parallel. Unlink data cleansing so it starts during configuration. In the task panel, remove the predecessor, then set the new start date. Then check that the task that came next still lists the earlier work as a predecessor, so delays keep cascading.
- Add your modules. Split configuration into finance, inventory, sales or whichever modules you are deploying.
- Share with the steering group. Use a read-only link for status meetings.
Planning tips
- Run at least two migration trials before cutover.
- Schedule training close to go-live so people remember it.
- Plan hypercare through the first month-end close on the new system.
Frequently asked questions

- Can I break this into multiple waves?
- Yes. Duplicate rows per module or wave and link them so later waves start after earlier ones stabilize.
- How long can the plan be?
- Up to two years in the editor.
